"JOSIAH
& BETHANY
NURSED MY DREAM!"
Sunil, 23, graduated from college with English major. But how did he get here?
His father passed away when he was just 18 months old. Frustrated and disturbed by the incident, his mother married again. Poor, Illiterate woman, she needed a support.
In Indian culture, most men would not readily accept the child of another man to live in their home. But because Sunil was a babe, his mother had no other go than to take him along with her.
When Sunil was 5, his mother
wanted him to go to school but the step father
refused. Life was miserable for little Sunil in the
home of the step father until one of our native
pioneers found him and led him to Josiah and Bethany
Children’s Home in Orissa.
Sunil stayed in the Children’s Home until he finished his under graduate course. He also received theological training in ACTS. Now he is serving the Lord with Calvary Commission India in their central office.
In his own words, “My dream would have shattered, and I would have become a vagabond if God did not bring Calvary Commission in my way. When I was in college, I had a great desire to serve the Lord. Even that desire is now fulfilled with many ministry opportunities for me at CCI.”
As
you may be aware, Josiah and Bethany Children’s Home
in Orissa was named after the two children of Keith
and Melody Green who died with their father in a
plane crash. This orphanage by the Bay of Bengal has
the honor being our very first orphanage inaugurated
in 1994 by Joe and Charlotte Fauss. There are 80 boys in the orphanage at the
moment. Sunil is one the many children who graduated
from school and joined the main stream of the
society as dignified individuals.
Your donation will help us care for many destitute children like Sunil. It costs as low as $20 per month.
There is no management cost. All the funds go direct to needs of the children. Donors will receive the bio and the picture of the child they sponsor. They can also correspond with their respective sponsored children.

Children: Light of the Future!
"In the eyes of every child is
the light of the future. If the light dims, so dies
the hope of this world" - Mother Teresa
We praise God that in spite of the fear of recession
the world over, all our faithful friends have
continued supporting the destitute orphan children
in our orphanages. We want to sincerely thank each
one of them from the bottom of our hearts.
The number of orphanages has now gone up to 16.

OUR CHILD CARE
program was
born out of a desire to change the destiny of
children of the fourth world who are desperate,
needy, unloved, unwanted and uncared for.
WE SERVE SUCH
children in our orphanages and Day Care Centers
providing food, clothing, medical attention and
educational opportunities. Most importantly, we let
them know that God who sent them into this world
loves them.
You can become a parent and a special friend to a
child and bring back the joy of childhood he has not
enjoyed since his birth.
In a country like India, less than a dollar a day
will provide the basic necessities a child needs so
urgently. Somewhere in the streets or in the slums
of India, there is a child that awaits our generous
response.
There are at least 70 children in our orphanages
that need urgent help. This dismal situation is
created not because of recession but because we have
lost touch with some donors over the years.
If you are an individual with some resources to
spare $20 a month or someone who can impact a church
body, we want you to consider partnering with us for
the uplift of the destitute children.
Together
we can make a difference.
